Sunrise

Soft peach skin you are

naked simple and pure

as we laugh like children

enjoying the wonders of the Earth.

Your skin is soft

rounded like grapes

powdered

with sugar sand

against my chest

And your warmth fills the air

refreshing

like the Ocean night...

But the moon is caught within the

lines of your hair

and the stars have set

within the light of your eyes

While crunchy

velvet dunes

are the steeples

of our church

cradling the passion of our love

holding

the promise of tomorrow...

As we watch the moon give way

to the warm sunrise

On a holy salty morning...

Just as the sun peaked his head

above the waves

I knew then

that I loved you...
